Is Table Mountain Cable Car open today?

If you’re traveling to Cape Town, please note that Cape Town’s summer months are from October to March. During these months the weather is usually ideal for a ride in the cable car, but please note that it is always a good idea to check the weather before you buy a ticket.

The cableway will be closed when the weather conditions are not ideal. If this happens, there are lots of other activities you can take part in, including tandem paragliding, visiting the penguins at Boulders Beach, and a safari.

The best is yet to come. Once you reach the top you will be 3 563 feet above sea level. You will also be in awe of the breathtaking views.

There is no doubt that you will spend a while taking in the view from the top, but if you are a keen explorer you can take part in the free guided tours conducted by the friendly staff of the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway.

You can also grab a bite to eat at the Table Mountain Café, or do some work at the Wi-Fi Lounge. Finally, you can shop around for memorabilia at the Shop at the Top.
